We’re looking for a seasoned engineering leader to lead the Asset Management function at Vales Point Power Station. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide strategic leadership, shape long-term asset management strategies, and drive performance across the site, working closely with site leadership and operational teams to ensure reliable and efficient energy production.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop the Asset Team: Guide and mentor a high-performing team to deliver asset management strategies, technical support, and expert advice across operations, maintenance, and plant improvement initiatives. Drive succession planning to retain critical knowledge, build capability, and support smooth transitions for new and future staff.
  • Strategic Asset Management: Provide in-depth strategic advice to the Maintenance, Operations, and Power Station leadership teams, ensuring long-term asset reliability, performance, and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Implement Asset Strategies: Oversee corrective, preventative, process safety, and whole-life strategies to optimise asset performance while managing risk and controlling costs.
  • Outage and Project Oversight: Lead the planning, governance, and execution of major maintenance, capital projects, and planned outages. Ensure risks are effectively managed, contractors and resources are coordinated, and works are delivered safely, on time, to quality standards, and within budget
  • Contract and Vendor Management: Oversee external contractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with contracts, high-quality deliverables, and resolution of commercial disputes.
  • Budget Management: Develop and maintain systems to deliver short- and long-term budgets aligned with asset strategies, ensuring capital and operating costs are controlled.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure all asset management activities comply with security policies, statutory requirements, and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
