Mō te Tūranga | About the Role As an Asset Finance Specialist – Small Business, you’ll be a subject‑matter expert for BNZ Asset Finance, partnering closely with frontline bankers to identify, structure and deliver asset finance solutions for Small Business customers. You’ll coach and uplift banker capability, helping them confidently recognise asset‑based funding opportunities, while also spending time in market originating new‑to‑bank customers through BNZ Asset Finance channels. The Asset Finance team works alongside business bankers to deliver funding solutions across business segments, with assets that are Identifiable, Securable and Removable. This role has a strong Small Business lens and a balance of internal enablement and external origination. We sat down with our Senior Partner – Asset Finance, and he let us know the following about the role: What you’ll be doing day to day Coaching and supporting Small Business bankers to identify, structure and deliver asset finance solutions for their customers Acting as a trusted Asset Finance specialist, providing deal support on more complex transactions Originating new‑to‑bank Small Business customers through proactive in‑market activity and external networks Delivering asset finance solutions to customers and internal stakeholders, from initial conversation through to settlement Manage credit risk, ensuring sound outcomes for customers and BNZ Leveraging existing relationships and building new networks to drive sustainable growth What’s exciting about this opportunity? You’ll play a visible role in growing BNZ’s Small Business franchise by combining capability uplift with direct origination.
