Description
Downer’s Transport & Infrastructure division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Inspector – Civil to support the ongoing maintenance, optimisation and lifecycle improvement of civil, structural, vegetation and facilities assets across the Northern Assets network.   This role is ideal for a practical, observant and commercially minded asset specialist who enjoys independent field work, values safety, and is committed to maintaining essential infrastructure to the highest possible standards.   Key responsibilities   * Conduct civil, vegetation and building inspections with a strong Zero Harm focus  * Identify safety-critical defects and escalate appropriately  * Document condition findings within asset management systems  * Provide risk-based recommendations for remediation  * Support scope development and planning for Additional Services works  * Engage with Environmental Advisors to ensure compliance  * Provide asset intelligence that informs lifecycle planning and preventative strategies   What you’ll bring   * Trade qualification or equivalent experience in civil or infrastructure maintenance  * 10+ years in civil infrastructure, vegetation management or facilities maintenance  * Strong understanding of civil condition assessment and defect classification  * Ability to work independently across multiple sites  * Current unrestricted driver licence (mandatory)  * Tickets such as EWP, confined space or traffic control desirable   Downer is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
