Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 + years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • API 510 certification; additional certifications such as NB, ABSA ISI‑BPVPP/PVPP, API 653, and/or API 570 are considered assets.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel to field sites.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards, environmental regulations, pressure‑equipment design codes and upstream facility operations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate activities between field and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

CANEIL is seeking an Asset Integrity Specialist to join its asset integrity team on a 5 × 2, 8‑hour schedule. The role will be Calgary‑based with periodic travel to field locations across Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. The position is set as a 12-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension or permanent employment following. The successful candidate will coordinate pressure equipment and above‑ground tank integrity programs and work closely with operations and maintenance teams to implement the company’s integrity management system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with field integrity leads to provide technical direction, training plans and career development for integrity personnel.
  • Ensure all elements of the pressure equipment and tank integrity management systems are executed effectively.
  • Maintain alignment with field operations to schedule inspections and servicing of vessels, tanks and PSVs using multi‑year planners.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute pressure‑vessel inspections, tank internal inspections, coatings and repairs.
  • Manage and assist pressure vessel and tank repairs during turnarounds while working directly with operations.
  • Review inspection reports and determine go‑forward integrity strategies to meet area‑specific and corporate goals.
  • Provide field support, including travel to operating sites, as required.
