Your work will directly contribute to building a connected, accessible, and future-ready transport system for every customer in NSW.As Asset Lifecycle Manager within the Coordinator General Division, you’ll be at the heart of statewide asset planning supporting operational delivery across ferries, light rail, maritime, and buses.You’ll be responsible for translating asset performance data into strategic insights that guide lifecycle planning and investment decisions. This means:• Understanding the full lifecycle of transport assets across multiple modes• Create and implement lifecycle optimisation tools, processes and procedures for improved asset management outcome and optimised asset performance• Planning maintenance interventions based on asset condition, performance, and serviceability• Predicting when assets are approaching end-of-life and supporting renewal and replacement decisions• Ensuring asset service plans align with long-term infrastructure strategies, funding envelopes, and contractual obligations• Developing and maintain performance metrics based on modelling outputs to support decision making• Balancing cost, risk, and performance while embedding sustainable practices• Collaborating with internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure standards, policies, and specifications are met You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy, making independent decisions that directly impact team outcomes. You’ll also work closely with senior leaders on complex issues that affect timeframes, budgets, and scope helping to manage risk and drive better asset outcomes across NSW.For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.   About you You’re a strategic thinker with a strong background in asset management and a passion for improving systems and outcomes. You understand the complexities of multi-modal transport networks and know how to manage the interdependencies between them.You bring:• Demonstrated expertise in asset lifecycle planning and management• Familiarity with financial principles related to asset investment and renewal• Experience using modelling tools and data to forecast asset needs and plan interventions• A solid grasp of whole-of-life asset management frameworks technical knowledge of asset management tools, systems, and data configuration• The ability to balance risk, stakeholder expectations, and competing priorities• Confidence in navigating political and stakeholder landscapes• A collaborative mindset and the ability to lead with influence   Who we are Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
