We are seeking Senior Asset Management Consultants to join our dynamic team, specialising in asset management team, with a strong emphasis on water. Our consultants play a pivotal role in helping clients optimise their asset management, ensuring maximum value from their investments while navigating the complexities of the water sector. As senior consultant you will direct and manage asset management projects, delivering high-quality outputs that align with client objectives. You will partner with clients to develop and implement effective asset management strategies and business cases, ensuring sustainability and resilience. Advise on the evolution of digital asset management tools and processes, fostering innovation and continuous improvement along with conducting comprehensive assessments of asset performance, lifecycle management, and risk to inform decision-making. The role will also involve facilitation of stakeholder engagement and relationship management, ensuring a client-centric approach in all interactions. Furthermore you will promote business development initiatives, leveraging industry knowledge to identify opportunities and drive growth.
You will join our Asset management team, ideally located in London, but we will consider locations as far as Bristol, Winchester, Solihull or Leeds. You will technically co-ordinate and/or manage projects to suit your individual skill set and preferred development needs, allowing you the opportunity to learn and grow your career. You will also assist with the management of the asset management team within London, e.g., resource forecasting

  • Qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Water, Engineering, Environmental Science, Asset Management).
  • Comprehension of the water asset lifecycle, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Skill in developing and implementing asset management frameworks and strategies that drive performance and efficiency.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Responsibilities

Within this role you will build, maintain and manage strong, long-term relationships within Arup and with our clients and stakeholders. You will have a desire to share knowledge and proactively mentor and manage teams and colleagues.
Consultant-Level Responsibilities will involve supporting the delivery of projects within the water and utilities sectors, ensuring high-quality outcomes; Collaborate with team members to analyse and address complex client challenges; Produce deliverables that meet project requirements within deadlines; Conduct data-driven analysis to provide actionable insights for decision-making; Contribute to presentations and reports that effectively convey findings to stakeholders.
Senior Consultant-Level Responsibilities include leading the delivery of high-value projects within the water and utilities sectors, taking ownership of key deliverables; Manage workstreams, ensuring alignment with client objectives and deadlines; Provide strategic guidance and leadership, addressing complex challenges with tailored solutions; Conduct and oversee analysis of datasets to drive evidence-based recommendations; Deliver high-impact presentations and facilitate discussions with senior stakeholders, particularly in the water sector; Guide junior team members, fostering efficiency and client-focused solutions; Play a key role in business development by contributing to proposals, networking, and marketing activities, particularly in the water industry.

Desirable knowledge includes; IAM qualifications, or Chartered status; Knowledge of the UK water sector and/or other UK infrastructure sectors; skills in risk and opportunity management, as well as change management; Strong interest in digital technologies and developing tools for data management.
