ABOUT US:

The Highway Maintenance Team currently has a vacancy for an Asset Management Technical Support Officer.
The position provides an exciting opportunity to develop how all highway assets are managed in the future and how all highway enquiries are managed and processed.

ABOUT YOU:

You will be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, and be able to build relationships with customers, elected members, businesses, partner organisations and other stakeholders.
You will have experience of working within a Highway Maintenance environment. We are looking for someone who will use their initiative, seek opportunities for knowledge sharing and be able to work as part of a busy team whilst managing their own workload.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role will involve administration of office systems both manual and computerised (Alloy), including records relating to frontline operational services, members enquires, resident complaints and enquiries are efficiently provided and properly maintained and are compliant with corporate and service policies and procedures and to assist and provide cover for the Environmental Management to assist with Alloy capacity within teams.
To coordinate and report on the condition of the highway network, by maintaining the asset inventory, maintenance and improvement plan and Highway Asset Management Strategy, to inform future investment priorities for maintenance and inspect various elements on the network as required.
To respond to internal and external enquiries, including Elected Members, relating to highway works
