Job Overview As a Bloomingdale’s Asset Protection Practitioner, you are responsible for protecting the assets and people of your location. Our Asset Protection training program will provide you with the knowledge and tools to do the job while you grow in responsibility. Use innovative technology and dive deep into analytics as you exercise your investigative skills on our asset protection team. Each Practitioner is charged with maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the execution of their duties within the store.  Essential Functions * Leadership – help facilitate and communicate the overall AP/ effort and shortage reduction within store; ensure store compliance with AP plans and shortage programs. * Developing Partnerships - develop an open line of communication with both AP and store colleagues, central and corporate executives; build positive business relationships. * Training and Awareness – facilitate training of store colleagues and leadership; shortage & theft mitigation, operational and procedural compliance; through in-store execution, meetings, Next Gen, and other communication methods. * Administration & Technical Skills – utilize and leverage reporting & data to facilitate shortage control programs and theft mitigation efforts. Drive execution and compliance with all policies and processes to ensure the protection of our stores, colleagues, customers and property.  * Network with other retailers, local law enforcement, mall management, and legal counsel. * Provide a safe environment for customers and colleagues. Ensure compliance to the safety program. * Drive improvements with store safety, shortage and audit compliance metrics.  Qualifications Education/Experience: * High school Diploma or equivalent required. * At least 1 to 3 years’ experience in asset protection / loss prevention. Communication Skills: * Excellent communication skills - ability to identify and communicate site-specific ideas and programs. * Ability to work with all levels of management. * Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; good follow-up skills. Other Skills: * Working knowledge of the physical security aspects of the job including alarms, EAS, CCTV, and lock and key. * Ability to make solid business decisions, make recommendations and implement necessary changes. * Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. * Must be a team player.     This job description is not all inclusive; additionally, Macy’s, Inc. reserves the right to amend this job description at any time.
