Responsibilities
  • Evaluate all incoming assets to determine best strategy to maximize recoveries (Invest in repairs, send to auction, sell as is)
  • Determine resale prices.
  • Control the aging inventory and maintain at acceptable levels
  • Assist the recovery team by periodically performing a cost/benefit analysis to determine the feasibility of securing an asset (balance owed VS estimated value of security, accounting for possible third-party liens and the age/anticipated condition of the security)
  • Work with internal and external partners to facilitate the sale of inventory (includes direct sales to end users)
  • Assist the Sales team with residual quotes for potential business opportunities.
  • Assist in obtaining ownerships/registrations for repossessed vehicles.
  • Validate and negotiate third party liens.
  • Oversee relationships with auctioneers.
  • Help to develop a diverse, Canada-wide network of contacts (including appraisers, resellers, repair facilities)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of policies and procedures both within and between departments.
