Description
Join a team where attention to detail and sound judgement directly protect clients and the business. In Announcement Capture Operations in Hong Kong, you will support complex voluntary corporate action events, work closely with partners across regions, and help enhance service delivery through process and technology improvements. This role offers strong exposure to market practices, operational risk management, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. As an Associate in the Announcement Capture Team within Operations, you will capture, maintain, and validate corporate action information from market announcement through to event completion. The team supports multiple internal businesses serving large institutional clients, so you will need to understand market nuances and manage operational risk throughout the event lifecycle. You will partner with global teams—including middle office, client service managers, product partners, and regional processing teams—to resolve issues efficiently and maintain consistently high service standards. You will also contribute to strengthening the control framework and improving workflows, particularly where processes are manual. Job Responsibilities * Capture and maintain corporate action announcement details at key processing stages through event completion. * Build strong working knowledge of voluntary corporate actions and related custody, clearing, and operational workflows. * Execute business-as-usual processing within defined operational parameters, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and quality. * Assess operational risk and implement enhancements to strengthen controls and reduce errors, especially in manual processes. * Identify and support delivery of process and technology changes that improve efficiency and service performance. * Develop understanding of client priorities and respond to queries and requests for assistance in a timely and constructive manner. * Monitor service performance, investigate issues, and coordinate resolution across local and global operational partners. * Communicate key risks, processing challenges, and status updates clearly to management and stakeholders. * Contribute to team effectiveness by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and promoting a culture of partnership and accountability.   Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills * Bachelor Degree * Minimum 3 years of experience, with demonstrated responsibility for managing day-to-day operational processes. * Experience supporting high-risk, complex voluntary corporate action events. * Strong understanding of asset servicing functions and process interdependencies, with a focus on Asia-Pacific markets, including Australia. * Strong analytical skills and sound decision-making, with the initiative to drive change and strengthen controls. * Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate key risks and processing issues to management. * Proven experience delivering process enhancements and initiatives involving digital tools at a regional and/or global level. * Ability to prioritize effectively, meet tight deadlines, and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.   Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills * Experience partnering with global teams across middle office, client service, product, and regional processing functions. * Experience using service performance insights to improve operational delivery.
