The Water Resources and Environment Department are seeking two Asset Technicians, within our Water Resource and Hydrogeology Team, to support our environmental monitoring activities and eater resource evaluation within Asset strategy and Capital Delivery Department. These activities form part of our Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) and optimisation of our water resources to ensure supply demand balance for our customer and protect the environment.

The key responsibilities of our Water Resources Team is the collection, storage, analysis and interpretation of environmental monitoring data. This includes the monitoring of groundwater levels, stream flow spot gauging, water quality sampling, ecological data and any other relevant field information. These activities form part of statutory Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) requirements and provides intelligence on our catchments to support and guide our future water resource strategies.
For this role you will be asked to undertake field work across all three Affinity Water regions, taking responsibility for the full monitoring process and in accordance with health and safety requirements. You will collect, review and QA monitoring data and ensure it is uploaded to our data management system. In addition, you will support project management administrative tasks including raising and receipting work orders, as well as managing the exchange of data with our environmental regulators.
