Hours 8.5 hours per day, 4 on 4 off shift pattern; subject to variation due to business needs

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Asset Technician to support our dynamic operations team.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Asset Technician plays a pivotal role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our service delivery ensuring assets are ready for deployment in line with our stringent water quality standards. Cleaning, testing and maintenance of a variety of water vessels from static tanks to tanker trailers, pumps, hoses and connections. The Asset Technician will assist with both the loading and unloading of vehicles and general depot duties and housekeeping (yard and warehouse). There will be times you will be required to operate on customer sites either on own or as part of a team to support the delivery of the services we provide.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A clean standard UK driving licence
Counterbalance forklift transferable licence
Transportable Lorry Loader Licence (Preferred but not essential)
National Water Hygiene Scheme certification (Preferred but not essential)
EDUCATION:
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
Operating of counterbalance forklift
Receive instructions on a daily basis with confirmation of task priorities from the Area Manager.
Be able to react and adapt to short notice changes in task priorities, as is the nature of the business.
Follow instructions and procedures as determined by the company, accurately and diligently; reporting any non-conformities to the Asset Manager and/or Quality Compliance Manager.
Complete all required paperwork in a clear, correct and legible manner, ensuring correct submission.
Service, maintain, clean and disinfect a wide range of company assets; with top priority placed on ensuring the suitability of assets in the supply of quality assured drinking water.
Undertake Asset maintenance projects and site support on client sites, working away from base for periods of up to a week at a time alongside colleagues. Local accommodation will be provided where required.
Ensure any quality sensitive samples taken are recorded formally, and proactively made available for collection by laboratory couriers, or delivered directly to local laboratories as determined by the location of the works.
Loading and unloading of both palletised goods, static assets and bulk water from vehicles visiting depots and warehouses on a daily basis and as required.
Hold responsibility for the organisation, cleanliness and housekeeping of the warehouse and parts storage, ensuring a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Stock checking and reporting to the Asset Manager on levels of consumable inventory at the depot, including but not limited to Chlorine Test tablets, Sample Bottles, water hose and pipe fittings and equipment, pallet wrap, binding equipment, Sodium Hypochlorite and Sodium Bisulphate solution.
Undertake Bottled Water stock checks at Water Direct and sometimes 3rd Party warehouses on a regular basis.
Safe and secure re-stacking of unsuitable Bottled Water pallets as required by safety assessments.
Assist Field Technicians and the Area Manager with preparation and cleaning of delivery equipment such as Vans, Lorries and Reg31 Layflat hoses. During peak periods, due to the hours being worked by Field Technicians, assistance will be required in ensuring there is enough stock of hoses available for immediate use.
Undertake minor facilities maintenance throughout all Water Direct premises under the direction of Water Direct Management.
At all times maintain correct levels of confidentiality with regards to information received by both employees and clients.
