In this role, you will be an operational backbone of our energy asset portfolio. You’ll oversee the day-to-day performance, reliability, and compliance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) integrated into our trading platform. Your focus: ensuring smooth operations, regulatory alignment, and continuous optimization across the asset lifecycle.

• Location: Munich, Germany
• Employment Type: Full-Time, indefinite term
• Salary Range: € 70.000 - 85.000 per year gross depending on experience
• Working Mode: Office-first, with partial Home-Office
• Language Requirement: At least C1 Level proficiency in English and German

YOUR PROFILE

Mandatory Requirements

• A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Energy Systems, Physics, or a related field
• 3+ years in energy operations, asset performance management, or technical project delivery
• Experience with data analytics and performance dashboards for asset monitoring
• Solid understanding of–or high willingness to quickly learn–energy asset performance metrics, grid regulations, and trading frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Business proficiency (C1) in both German and English

Skills to Set You Apart

• Experience managing a growing portfolio of technical assets
• Track record of working with external technical partners (e.g., TSOs, OEMs, service providers)
• Operational compliance experience in the energy or infrastructure sector
• Hands-on experience with SCADA, EMS, or asset control APIs

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Asset & Trading Operations Manager, you will be part of our fast-moving Operations team - a group of sharp, hands-on professionals who ensure our platform performs in the real world. We currently manage a small but rapidly growing number of BESS assets, and plan to scale to dozens across Europe by 2026.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Own the operational lifecycle of BESS assets

Ensure smooth go-lives, stable performance, and full regulatory compliance

• Monitor asset performance in real-time

Keep a close eye on real-time asset performance and take swift action when issues arise. This also includes participation in regular on-call rotations—always supported by an experienced software development counterpart

• Lead structured root-cause analyses

Lead structured investigations of operational issues and coordinate resolution across internal teams and external partners

• Drive continuous improvements

Identify recurring issues, optimize asset configurations, and improve data workflows

• Build and maintain clear, actionable documentation

Ensure scalability, consistency, and audit readiness through actionable playbooks and operations documentations

• Work cross-functionally to shape the future of our systems

Collaborate closely with energy operations, product, and tech teams to align priorities and ensure operational needs are integrated into platform improvements and our product roadmap
