With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service. Overview The Asset Utilization Specialist is responsible for organizing, tracking, and improving the effective use of stored equipment, tooling, and operational assets across Joby facilities. This role focuses on asset organization, storage efficiency, inventory accuracy, and supporting day-to-day operational readiness across manufacturing and facilities environments.This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that works cross-functionally with Facilities, Manufacturing, Tooling, and Logistics teams to reduce space waste and improve asset visibility. Responsibilities Track and maintain accurate records for equipment, tooling, and operational assets across multiple facilities Manage asset locations, condition, and utilization status within inventory or ERP systems Maintain organized, safe, and efficient storage and staging areas in warehouses, hangars, and shop environments Identify underutilized or excess assets and support consolidation or disposition efforts Prepare assets and staging areas to support internal logistics teams and third-party vendors during equipment moves Assist with inbound and outbound asset activities by verifying documentation and updating tracking systems Support audits, compliance documentation, and 5S or continuous improvement initiatives Required High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred 3–6 years of experience in asset management, warehouse operations, tooling support, or manufacturing operations Experience organizing and tracking large or industrial equipment Familiarity with inventory management or ERP systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, operational environment Comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple teams Desired Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments Familiarity with FAA, ITAR, or controlled asset documentation Exposure to lean principles, 5S, or continuous improvement practices Experience supporting operations across multiple buildings or sites Additional Information Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $80,100 - $103,700/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
