JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant General Manager – Housekeeping oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring a consistently high standard of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role supports the General Manager in driving housekeeping excellence and mentoring the team to meet brand standards and service expectations.

GUEST EXPERIENCE & QUALITY ASSURANCE:

  • Conduct room and public area inspections regularly.
  • Collaborate with the front office and maintenance departments to address guest requests and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective actions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, safety protocols, and guest service standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and housekeeping management systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in line with brand expectations and guest feedback.
  • Monitor housekeeping supplies and inventory; ensure cost control and efficient usage.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and housekeeping reports.
  • Manage linen inventory and vendor relationships, including laundry services.
  • Participate in strategic meetings and propose improvements in housekeeping practices.
