Assistance Nurse (Dialysis)

Patient Care:

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nurse.
• Help patients with mobility, including moving them from beds to wheelchairs and aiding in ambulation.
• Assist with oral hygiene, skin care, and toileting.

Support to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs):

• Assist in minor medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including electronic health records (EHRs) input.
• Ensure that patient rooms and nursing stations are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Relay messages and information between patients and nurses.
• Perform a variety of office responsibilities: answer phone and take messages.
• Facilitate and assist in the referral of patients.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new personnel.
• Assist in scheduling patient appointments and managing patient flow.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.

Compliance with Quality of care and Safety:

• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control practices, ethical guidelines, UAE regulations, and Dubai Health’s policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols.
• Ensure proper use of PPE to protect patients and staff.
• Adherence to common safety hazards and precautions and following healthcare facility policies, procedures, and regulations to establish a safe work environment.
• Adherence to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
• Participate in emergency response activities and drills
• Any other assignments related to the nature of the job assigned by the management.
