The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University. We provide aspiring candidates with ample staff development opportunities and a promising career in higher education. We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Registry: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Leading a small team of supporting staff in provision of effective administrative services and support in class scheduling & tutors matters; Handling class scheduling & accommodation booking for programmes/courses, and tutors matters for part-time programmes; Driving continuous enhancements and streamlining of timetabling processes; Compiling statistical reports and conducting estimations and analyses to support decision-making; Assisting in practice review & implementation, system testing and enhancement; Providing executive to committee work; and Supervising junior/clerical staff, and performining any other tasks as assigned. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized degree with at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; Strong analytical mindset, with excellent organizational abilities; Attentive to details and proactive problem-solving; Proficiency in computer applications; and Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently while working effectively under pressure and meeting tight schedules.
