JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Bilingual Assistant Accountant (English/Spanish) to join our finance team. This role centers on accounts payable and receivable, while also supporting reporting and general accounting tasks. You’ll be communicating daily in both languages — by phone and email — so strong written and verbal skills are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferred (experience considered in lieu)
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills
• Experience with AP/AR processes required
• Sage50 experience is a big plus
• Solid grasp of bookkeeping, debits/credits, and accrual accounting
• Strong phone and email communication skills in both languages
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized

• Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and partners by phone and email in English and Spanish
• Draft and respond to professional emails in both languages
• Assist in preparing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, etc.)
• Support month-end close with journal entries and reporting
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Help with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Assist with payroll processing and audit prep
• Use accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) for daily tasks
