Description

Our exclusive client based in Chorley are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is a new role due to company restructure and internal promotion. The primary responsibility of the position is to assist with the accounting processes to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Duties include:

  • Assisting in preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
  • Analysing key costs for the business and individual cost centers
  • Reporting on variances, focusing on spending and process improvements
  • Working closely with purchase ledger to accurately record accruals and prepayments
  • Reconciling intercompany balances
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Report and review monthly spending trends
  • Adhoc project analysis

The client will consider candidates from various background for this role either an experience Assistant Accountant wanting to take the next step up, or a first time mover from practice who is looking for their first role within industry or a finance graduate who has accounting experience of this level.
