You are enthusiastic, with a thirst to learn and want to develop your career in a high performing team. Based at our Smithfield manufacturing site and reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience to contribute across a range of accounting functions. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager, gaining hands-on experience while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Perform daily bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations. Assist with BAS, FBT, payroll tax, ABS surveys, and Payment Times Reporting. Manage vehicle lease administration and coordinate property rental payments. Prepare journals and reconcile intercompany transactions. Support year-end audit preparation and respond to queries. Contribute to process improvements and provide backup support to the Finance Manager and adhoc duties as required. About you Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or commerce. Ideally you have 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role. Commence or planning to commence CA or CPA studies. Computer literate with Intermediate Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP advantageous). Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders and customers. Are curious with a thirst to learn, want to continue to grow and use your initiative. A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently. Excellent time management and coordination skills with a sense of urgency, results focused, with high attention to detail and analytical mindset.
