ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (CO KILKENNY)

Our client, a leading manufacturing company currently has an opening within their Finance Team for an experienced Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a team this position will have an option for Hybrid working after a successful probationary period.

DUTIES:

• Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations for a number of Companies in the Group
• Assisting in preparing monthly accounts for oversea subsidiaries
• Assisting with and playing a vital role in the year-end financial audit
• Assisting with Tax queries
• To prepare ad hoc reports, as and when required by management
• To assist with ad hoc projects

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field/ Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent
• Proven work experience as an Accounts Assistant, Administrator or similar role
• SAP experience is preferred
• Organised and ability to prioritise individual workloads according to deadlines
• Good attention to detail and understanding of the P2P process from PO, GR/IR, invoice processing, creditors payments and accruals
• Experienced excel user
