The Greek leading Biscuits & Bakery company Ε.J.PAPADOPOULOS S.A. is seeking to employ an experienced, driven & committed: Assistant Accountant to join our Accounting Team, reporting to Accounting Supervisor The role: We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support the accounting activities related to raw materials inventory and supplier transactions. The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of supplier invoices, maintaining the integrity of raw materials inventory records, performing reconciliations, and supporting inventory accounting processes through SAP. How you will contribute: Process and post supplier invoices, credit notes, and other accounting documents in SAP. Perform supplier account reconciliations and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies. Monitor and reconcile accounting transactions related to raw materials inventory. Reconcile inventory movements between SAP FI and SAP WM, ensuring the accuracy of financial and warehouse records. Support the accounting management of raw materials warehouse operations, including goods receipts, stock movements, inventory adjustments, and returns. Prepare inventory-related journal entries and perform general ledger reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to supplier and raw materials inventory accounting. Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure the integrity of financial data. Prepare timely and accurate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports. Participate in periodic and annual physical inventory counts, investigate inventory variances, and support the reconciliation of discrepancies. Collaborate closely with Warehouse, Procurement, Production, and Finance teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of inventory transactions. Support internal and external audits by preparing the required documentation and providing relevant analyses. What you will bring: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in Accounting, preferably in Accounts Payable, Inventory Accounting, or Warehouse Accounting. Experience with SAP ERP, particularly FI (Financial Accounting) and WM (Warehouse Management) modules. Good understanding of inventory accounting principles and supplier accounting. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications. Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment. Good command of the English language.
