Responsibilities

Envirolab Services presents an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and outcome-driven accounting professional to join our dynamic Finance Team and contribute to our processes and achievements across multiple locations. This role offers an exciting chance to become part of an organisation dedicated to the well-being of its staff while supporting a high-performing team.
As a Junior Accountant, you’ll serve as an Accounting All-Rounder, overseeing end-to-end accounting functions including assessing operating costs, preparing taxation returns, and month-end reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with a cohesive team, united in pursuit of shared objectives, and provide essential support to the CFO and the broader business in all finance-related matters.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Comprehensive End-to-End management of Accounting Processing and Reporting.
  • Assist in developing budgeting frameworks and reviewing accounting procedures and controls.
  • Analyse monthly financial performance by reviewing income statements, operating costs, and expense trends.
  • Provide financial insights on cash flow management and financial risks to support strategic decisions of the business.
  • Maintain accounting and financial system configuration and internal control procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and publish EOM financial reports for higher management.
  • Conduct regular GL reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Preparation and reconciliation of BAS/GST Lodgements.
  • Preparation of tax-related returns, monthly payroll tax lodgement and yearly reconciliation.
  • Liaise with accounting firms/auditors, tax authorities, and other external partners to manage banking arrangements.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on special projects and financial analysis.
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting software, upgrading accounting tools, and improving system-based workflows.
