WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU?

  • Experience in a finance or accounting support role (automotive or leasing industry experience would be an advantage)
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with VAT, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • AAT Level 2–4 or equivalent.
  • Progression towards ACCA, CIMA, or similar qualifications is common.
Responsibilities

Compliance, accuracy, meeting deadlines and the ability to report are the backbone of a good Finance Department. As such we are seeking a detail-oriented person who can prioritise and manage the tasks and functions that deliver the objectives. This role is vital in supporting the company’s Accountant with financial processing, reporting, and compliance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of their finance function within a dynamic leasing company environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reconciling accounts – ensuring financial ledgers are accurate and up to date
  • Preparing financial reports – including monthly management accounts and year-end statements
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable – processing invoices, payments, and chasing outstanding debts
  • Assisting with audits – preparing documentation and liaising with auditors
  • Supporting budget preparation – gathering data and helping with forecasts
  • Maintaining financial records – including purchase orders, bank statements, and VAT returns
  • Reporting discrepancies – identifying and escalating errors or potential fraud
  • Ensuring compliance – with financial regulations and internal policies
