Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Account to join the fast-paced finance team who will contribute to the company’s financial performance through accurate recording of general ledger transactions

MAIN DUTIES

  • Assist with Transactional finance duties monthly reconciliation and handling financial queries
  • Supporting management accounts preparation.
  • Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support fixed asset management.
  • Contribute to the production of monthly management accounts pack.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial reporting.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role is essential.
  • Knowledge of management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
  • Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed on time and reconciling items investigated and resolved monthly
  • Appropriate evidence maintained to support period end prepayments, accruals and controls
  • Compliance with internal control requirements.
  • Develop effective working relationships with budget holders.
  • Proactively support the Group Financial Controller and Finance Manager in the review of current processes as part of the Groups continuous improvement journey. A key focus area to include process location and activity timing with a view to maximise efficiency and manage resource constraints at month end.
