This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant accountant to join a well-respected organisation in Belfast. You will play a key role in supporting the business across finance and administration functions, with exposure to a wide range of responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping up to trial balance stage
Record financial transactions accurately and on time
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payments
Prepare customer invoices and maintain monthly sales records
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare VAT returns and analysis
Generate aged creditors and debtors reports; provide credit control where necessary
Process monthly payroll payments and adjustments
Assist with HR record keeping, contracts, and staff administration
Support with renewals of insurance policies and vehicle records (Tax/MOT)
Assist with audit preparation and liaise with auditors
Prepare management accounts, financial reports, and forecasts as requested
General filing and completion of statutory questionnaires (NISRA/HMRC)
