Role Purpose

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our collaborative finance team and support day to day accounting activities across our Australian and New Zealand operations. Reporting to a Senior Accountant, this role is well suited to an early career accountant looking to build strong technical foundations and gain exposure to a broad commercial environment.

Key Accountabilities:

Assist with month end processes including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Support preparation of financial reports in line with statutory and internal requirements.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as required.
Support audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with data integrity across finance systems.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Support improvements to finance processes and systems.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve finance related queries.
Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, or near completion.
One to two years experience in an accounting or finance role, or relevant graduate experience.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems.
Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
