Reporting directly to an experienced Financial Controller, you'll join a collaborative finance team supporting multiple dealership operations.

About the Role

As Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function across multiple dealership operations while working closely with senior finance leadership.

This is a hands-on position that offers exposure to both transactional finance and month-end accounting responsibilities.

• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
• Preparing bank reconciliations and investigating variances
• Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis
• Supporting the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing general ledger reconciliations and journal entries
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance requirements
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Supporting statutory reporting and audit preparation
• Partnering with operational stakeholders across multiple dealership locations

About You

• Currently studying towards or completed CA/CPA qualifications will be highly regarded with 2+ years' accounting experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
• Previous experience working within a dealership or automotive retail environment is essential
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and desire to continue learning and developing
