    MoTeC is renowned the world over as a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist automotive electronics, supplying the global motorsport industry for over 30 years. Our recent acquisition by the Bosch Group has brought about exciting new opportunities and an immediate need for expansion. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant with a can-do approach to join our fantastic team.

The role will include the following:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Statutory reporting – compiling of quarterly finance packs for the Global Head Office in Germany.
  • Reconciling of all general ledger and control accounts.
  • Assist with preparation of budgets & forecasts for company activities and performance monitoring.
  • Analyse general ledger transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the management of the company’s Net Working Capital.
  • Ensure that internal controls are adhered to, reducing the risk of fraud, errors, and misstatements.
  • Oversight and management of the FBT information worksheet.
  • Provide backup support for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff during leave periods.
  • Assist with the annual audit.
  • Contributing to ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller as needed.

You will also need to possess the following skills/qualifications:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Accounting.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to build good relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a broader team
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting packages
