QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A relevant educational backround (minimum vocational college level MBO level) in finance, accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in financial and/or administrative roles.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as Exact Online.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understands financial principles, including Dutch GAAP, fund accounting, budgetting.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting.
  • Understanding of Dutch tax reporting and filing (VAT and CIT).
  • Experience with business process improvement.
  • Familiarity with IFRS accounting.
  • Experience working in an international financial environment.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the financial management of our organization, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient financial operations. This role involves being responsible for the administration of our management entities, assisting in financial planning, budgeting, and regulatory reporting. You will work closely with the Corporate Controller and CFRO to optimize financial processes and support decision-making. Furthermore, this role includes a wide range of responsibilities in the office, including non-financial operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing the full administration of our management entities including:
  • Invoicing
  • Accounts receivable/payable management
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial records, including reconciliations and audit preparation
  • Assisting the Corporate Controller with budget planning, expenses analysis, preparing financial statements and semi-annual fund valuation reports
  • Maintain a digital archive of financial transactions, documents, and supplier records.
  • Optimize workflow of daily financial tasks
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for team members via our system: Navan.
  • Manage office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Support the team with other non-finance related operations.
  • Communication with external parties like external fund administrator and portfolio companies
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication and reporting to stakeholders
