Description
Our client in the financial industry is recruiting an Assistant Accountant Reporting to: Finance and Accounts Executive Main Duties and Responsibilities To deliver accurate, timely, and IFRS-compliant financial reporting, supporting both statutory and management requirements, To approve and review payments, To prepare and assist in monthly and year-end financial statements, ensuring high quality outputs and adherence to deadlines, To prepare, review and submit surveys and statutory returns to the authorities (e.g. MRA, FSC) To produce insightful management reports and perform variance analysis to highlight key trends, To maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, To assist in internal and external audit, To assist in the preparation of income tax computations and schedules, To perform bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly, To maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures, To maintain fixed asset register including capitalisation policies and depreciation review, To support budget preparation and forecasting activities, To collaborate effectively with internal teams and contribute to a positive and efficient finance function. Additional Responsibilities Any other cognate duties which may arise aligned to business requirements Requirements Acca or any other recognised professional accounting bodies: Partly or fully qualified, 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance; audit experience will be a distinct advantage, Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS office applications, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
