The role: As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll support the Finance team by ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting. You’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant and gain exposure beyond day-to-day transactions in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. What you’ll be doing: • Processing and documenting financial transactions accurately • Reconciling balance sheet and intercompany accounts and resolving discrepancies • Assisting with month-end and year-end close (journals and reporting) • Supporting BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, FBT and other statutory reporting • Assisting with audit documentation and requirements • Handling day-to-day finance tasks (PO matching, invoice coding, allocations) • Providing cover across Accounts Payable and Receivable when required • Preparing ad-hoc financial analysis and reports Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting • 2+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role • Strong understanding of accounting principles • High attention to detail and strong time management skills • Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS) • Confident written and verbal communication skills Highly regarded: • Currently working towards CPA qualifications • Experience using ERP systems and/or Power BI • Exposure to manufacturing or complex business environments You’ll thrive in this role if you are: • Curious and keen to understand how a business really works • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment • Professional, reliable and accountable • A strong problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset • Able to work independently while collaborating with a team What we offer: • A global business with strong brand presence and long-term stability • Exposure to a manufacturing environment and real commercial decision-making • Competitive salary and corporate discounts • A role where you can genuinely grow your capability and career Additional Information Respect is one of our Values.
