Job Description 📌 Job Description - Assistant Accountant Position Summary The Assistant Accountant supports the finance team by performing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This role assists with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, invoice preparation, expense tracking, and maintaining organized financial records. The Assistant Accountant also helps in month-end closing activities, prepares basic reports, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, journals, ledgers, and proper financial documentation. Prepare and issue invoices, credit notes, payment requests, and process accounts payable and receivable. Assist with payment runs, follow up on outstanding balances, and manage cash advances. Support the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and periodic internal reports. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and provide supporting financial analysis. Support monthly payroll processing and prepare VAT returns and statutory reports. Prepare audit schedules and liaise with internal and external auditors and accounting firms. Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and reporting requirements. Perform general administrative and accounting duties as required to support the finance function.
