Skills and Requirements

  • Progressing toward CA/CPA qualification, demonstrating commitment to professional development and technical excellence.
  • Strong team collaboration and independent work ethic, with proven ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Solid experience in financial reporting, including balance sheet preparation and account reconciliations.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, actively seeking ways to enhance processes and drive efficiency.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Microsoft Great Plains.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Financial Accounting Team at a pivotal moment of growth and transition. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial accounts, contributing directly to the integrity and efficiency of our reporting processes
As part of a dynamic team, you’ll be stepping into a position during a maximum term contract covering parental leave. This role offers a strong foundation for professional development and the chance to work closely with experienced finance professionals in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

DUTIES

  • Support core financial operations, including processing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and maintaining the bank accounts.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting, contributing to daily cash flow preparation, audit support, and external compliance requirements (FBT, ABS, etc.).
  • Provide responsive financial assistance, managing Finance Help Desk queries, backing up AR functions, and maintaining key registers (gift cards, bank guarantees).
  • Engage effectively across teams, demonstrating strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset when liaising with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
