Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role plays a key part in month-end and year-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, audit preparation, and general finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is building their career within a complex, purpose-driven organisation and enjoys working collaboratively in a structured finance environment. Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid Role) Employment Type: Full-time Maximum term contract for 2 years Salary: Band 3 ($77k-80k Plus 12% Superannuation) Key tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to: Assist with month-end close, including posting journals, processing accruals, and preparing supporting schedules Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly Support the budgeting process, including data collation, analysis, and system uploads Assist with year-end close and Commonwealth reporting requirements Prepare audit workpapers and respond to external auditor queries Support processing of payments and invoices Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with organisational policies Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Chart of Accounts Provide general finance team support, including data entry, document control, and ad-hoc finance tasks Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting, system, or process-related issues About you To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria: Essential experience and education Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Finance Working towards or obtained CPA or CA qualification Experience working with ERP systems Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation Health industry experience or exposure Preferred skills and experience: Sound technical accounting knowledge Experience in a medium to large organisation finance function Strong Excel and Accounting System Capability What we offer Enjoy a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of working from home with access to our state-of-the-art Subiaco office.
