Description

The Assistant Accountant supports the accounting team in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role involves bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, assisting with audits, and providing administrative support for financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software : Zoho Books and QuickBooks
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month

Responsibilities

· Financial Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and ledgers.
  • Record daily transactions in the accounting system.

· Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts to ensure accuracy.

· Bank Reconciliation:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to verify financial records.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in bank statements.

· Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and management reports.
  • Analyze expenses and suggest cost-saving measures.

· Tax & Compliance Support:

  • Assist in tax preparation, VAT filings, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.

· Audit Assistance:

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documents and explanations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit trails.

· Administrative & Other Duties:

  • Assist in payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Support the senior accountant and finance team with ad hoc tasks.
