Fixed term until 26 Feb 2027 | Wellington based Position Have an impact supporting the regulation of medicines for New Zealanders Develop valuable regulatory and administrative experience - supportive environment Midpoint of $65,850 dependent on your professional skills and experience Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do In the Regulatory Services group, and our Product Regulation branch is responsible for specifically ensuring that medicines have acceptable quality, safety and efficacy. The Assistant Advisor supports the effective regulation of medicines by managing the workflow of Medsafe medicines applications and providing high‑quality administrative support to regulatory teams. Manage and coordinate the workflow of medicines applications, ensuring records, databases, and tracking systems are accurate and up to date Process Drug Master Files and new or changed medicine applications, checking completeness and compliance with requirements Issue regulatory correspondence, invoices, export certificates, and publish consents in the New Zealand Gazette Support quality, consistency, and continuous improvement by following Medsafe’s Quality System and reviewing process documentation Build positive working relationships and provide timely, clear responses to internal and external stakeholder queries Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and tailor messages to a range of audiences Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality Sound judgement and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use initiative and adapt to new processes and ways of working Strong computer literacy and experience in administrative or support roles, enabling the delivery of high‑quality outputs Ngā hua o tō mātou whare - What we bring Discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
