Leading Apparel Company is looking for a contract Assistant Designer to support their team!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years of experience in apparel design or a related field (preferred)
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Able to work onsite in El Segundo, California
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Proficiency with basic office software; familiarity with design tools is a plus
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
  Contract- 40 hours/week
  Hybrid Schedule- 3 days on office, 2 days WFH

The Assistant Apparel Designer will support the design team in a variety of tasks related to apparel development and coordination. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of relevant experience who is passionate about fashion and eager to learn in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

• Assist in all tasks related to apparel design and coordination
• Receive, hang, and tag samples as they arrive
• Manage shipping/receiving of packages and maintain accurate tracking records
• Organize and assort product racks as needed
• Support basic technical alignment tasks as directed by the design team
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow within the design department
• Create and update tech packs under guidance from senior designers
• Assist with fabric and trim sourcing when required
• Prepare materials and samples for meetings or presentations
• Maintain sample library and organize reference materials
• Edit sketches or presentation boards using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop (if applicable)
• Support fit sessions by taking notes and assisting with garment adjustments
• Research current market trends and compile inspiration boards as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by Vanessa Espinosa or senior team members
