We are looking for a driven and dynamic Assistant Area Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in generating new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with clients, contractors, and internal colleagues, and helping us exceed annual sales targets. As part of our collaborative team, you will work closely with the Senior Area Manager and the technical department to lead, assist, and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring outstanding service is delivered to clients.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in specification sales and market sector opportunities, delivering comprehensive reports and specifications, managing client relationships, and driving the success of our projects. Your contribution will be integral to the continued growth and success of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Education: A degree or relevant professional qualification (desirable), or equivalent NVQ.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in specification sales within the construction industry, specifically in flat roofing or waterproofing systems.
- Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and contractors.
- Technical Skills: Experience in developing detailed written specifications and reports, with a strong understanding of building regulations and the British Standard Code of Practice.
- Sales & Target Driven: Experience working towards and achieving sales targets, including cold calling and developing new business.
- Presentation Skills: Comfortable delivering presentations and engaging clients and contractors at all levels.
- Independent Working: Comfortable with lone working, self-management, and the ability to plan and organise effectively.
- Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of flat roofing systems, public and private sector requirements, and the regulatory framework.
