Description

LIN SCAN is currently looking for Assistant Assembly Supervisor who will supervise and provide technical support to pre-assembly and assembly department personnel to ensure timely completion of preparation of tools and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
-
- To supervise and provide technical support to pre-assembly and assembly department personnel to ensure timely completion of preparation of tools and other equipment.
- To follow established tool assembly and testing SOPs and special procedures.
- To enforce the company’s and department’s work rules and regulations, and create disciplinary action as needed.
- Review the monthly tasks and plan and give dates to Production planner.
- To ensure delivery date for tools or spare parts as per Tool Preparation Plan.
- To ensure no changes in Material plan during the quarter every three months.
- To review work orders and make sure delivery as per given target date.
- To ensure no last-minute Material requests (standard items: spring, Magnet, wheels, bearing, fasteners …etc.).
- To ensure Tool assembly for the PTT/ push through test /Final assembly are done based on tool configuration drawing.
- To make sure not to move the tool to testing setup unless all aspects related to tool assembly have been reviewed, verified, tools to be calibrated and ready for final assembly.
- To submit the PTT plan on weekly Basis to Data analysis, Quality and HSE.
- To ensure standard items will be available in the store based on minimum stock figures, coordinate with the purchase dept. to get all items needed for tool assembly.
- To deliver correct tool assembled based on design drawing, tool preparation check list delivers on time to Q/C.
- To use high quality standard Items in final assembly.
- To deliver cleaned tool: Tool body must be painted, Assembled on Tray, ready for shipment.
- To report to Design section for any items used in final assembly which is different than design drawing or specification listed in design drawing.
- To arrange all material, items, equipment needed for tool assembly a head of time before the assembly action started.
- To ensure the testing spool is available based on commercial project requirements, Target WT and existing artificial defects are important to be verified with data analysis.
- To conduct test (PTT or push through test) for tools listed in internal project plan.
- To maintain workshop in a neat and tidy manner in line with HSE standards.
- To keep the PTT area, testing pipes and other equipment ready for pull-through and push-through tests.
- To provide training to new employees and continuous instruction for improvement and development to direct reports.
- To execute all other tasks as requested by TM/Production Director within the assigned job role..
- Prepare list of tools and spares required for operation.
- Renders assistance to sales enquiries.
- Ensure any tool going back to UAE is assembled on tray; secure the tool movement inside the box.
- Ensuring ILI/cleaning Tools are stored and kept ready in a proper manner, keep updated records about all spare parts available in territory store, and feed all info to TM.
- Keeps up to date records about spare parts of each tool.
- Ensuring proper maintenance plan is done after each run.
- Evaluate tool performance if required any improvement to be discussed with TM.
- Monitoring overall operations and performance of tool PU, Mechanics, and Electronics.
- Execute other tasks as required by TM/Production Manager.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, mechatronics engineering or similar discipline and/or related industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • Fluency in the English language, working knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Strong communication, motivation and leadership skills.
  • Strong computer skills, as well as knowledge of manufacturing reporting software.
  • Good social skills.
  • Creative, critical and curious.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
