We are looking for an Assistant Assessment Manager, with a keen interest in Primary and Lower Secondary Mathematics & Science and International assessment. The role involves supporting Assessment Managers (Mathematics & Science) working primarily on Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary Progression Tests in Mathematics and Science.
As an excellent communicator with a positive can-do attitude, you will be flexibly working on a range of varied briefs, delivering high quality amendments to exam papers often at a fast pace.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in mathematics & science. You will have a degree in your subject area or equivalent experience, along with a keen interest in assessment within education. Your command of English will be excellent, both written and verbal, allowing you to communicate effectively and contribute to high-quality educational content.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role would suit someone with a background in Mathematics & Science ideally covering Primary and Lower Secondary education who has an interest in International assessments.
This supporting role will involve taking responsibility for key parts of the assessment production cycle including attending meetings, checking and proofreading assessment materials, as well as managing Assessment Specialists to ensure conformity to Cambridge Assessment International Education’s standards.

SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • To support with the use of our Content Creation Management System (CCMS) through the authoring, checking and revising of items in CCMS as part of the item bank development.
  • Ensuring that mathematics & science items in the CCMS are produced to the highest levels of quality, accuracy and cost effectiveness at all of the stages assigned to the post, following procedures and to agreed schedules.
  • Working with and supporting the Assessment Managers to be responsible for managing specified parts of the assessment materials production cycle, ensuring that the rigorous standards of the question paper production process are followed in order to ensure that they reflect the values of the Cambridge Learner and teacher and also meet the needs of customers
  • Working with item writers and revisers to ensure that items are produced in accordance with Cambridge Assessment International Education’s standards.
  • Contributing to the provision of assessment support materials, training materials and learning resources for customers so as to provide information for teachers, learners and other exam users.
  • Monitor progress against schedules and update project budgets, including costs of delivery.
