REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Daemen University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure track faculty position in the Physical Therapy Department starting on 02 September 2025. The preferred candidate for this position would have expertise in neuromuscular physical therapy. In addition, the preferred candidate will have completed their academic doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD, DHSc) in physical therapy or a related field, hold an advanced specialty certification (e.g., PCS, NCS, GCS) and be eligible for PT licensure in New York State. Candidates may be considered if they are near completion of their academic doctorate. Candidates without an academic doctorate who have a DPT degree and advanced specialty certification (as noted above) may also be considered. Previous teaching experience and evidence of scholarship are strongly preferred. Contingent upon expertise and interest, additional teaching opportunities may include neurobiology and prosthetics/orthotics, as well as mentoring students in patient care experiences on-campus and in clinical research. Non-teaching responsibilities would include student academic advising, participating in departmental and university-wide committees, clinical practice, and ongoing scholarly productivity within a related field. Opportunities for internal funding to establish and strengthen research projects are available on a competitive basis.
Applications should include a cover letter of application, statement of teaching philosophy, curriculum vitae, and three references with contact information.
