MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ohio State Medical License.
  • MD / DO or an equivalent degree.
  • Completion of an accredited Dermatology Residency and be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Dermatology.
  • The candidate also must have completed an accredited fellowship program in Dermatopathology and be board certified or board eligible in Dermatopathology.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED

Record of academic excellence and relevant clinical experience in Dermatology and Dermatopathology.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pathological evaluations at an on-site laboratory, providing high-quality insightful and comprehensive diagnoses to guide clinicians in patient treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, serving as a case reviewer and contributing to intradepartmental conferences to ensure diagnostic accuracy and improve care quality. Consult with peer pathologists on cases as requested or needed.
  • General Dermatology patient care responsibilities including, but not limited to, Outpatient Clinic, Inpatient hospital service and consults, and in-office procedures.
  • Contributing to the clinical/patient care, research and teaching missions of the Department and College by supporting the University’s mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
  • Clinical duties including responsibilities for treating patients while accompanied by learners such as our students, residents and fellows.
  • Encompassing an active role in departmental fellowship programs resident teaching (e.g. evaluating curriculum and instruction to residents, and completing required evaluations), and presentations at the local, regional and national levels.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
