Description Department: History Job Status: Full-time FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Department Chair Grade/Level: Ph.D Amount of Travel Required: None Work Schedule: Positions Supervised: None POSITION SUMMARY The Department of History at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas seeks a tenure-track faculty member, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (commensurate with experience) in History beginning August 1, 2026. The focus of the position is Modern European History, 1500-present. The successful candidate will teach a variety of upper-level courses in Early Modern and Late Modern European History as well as the World Civilization since 1500 survey. Additional responsibilities include engagement in and service to the department, college, and community. Such engagement or service to the college would typically include full participation in faculty events and engagement in faculty responsibilities.
