In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Cancer Biology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.
The Department of Cancer Biology is seeking two full time tenure-track faculty (https://med.uc.edu/cancerbiology) at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. The department is expanding and seeking applications from highly qualified and innovative independent cancer researchers. We especially encourage applications from investigators who have impressive command of 1) innovative cutting-edge analytical approaches in cancer chemical biology (e.g., metabolomics, bioorthogonal chemistry, biochemical engineering, metallobiochemistry, drug development, synthetic biology) and 2) emerging systems-level technologies to discover mechanisms of cancer biology (e.g., spatial ‘omics technologies, imaging, data informatics, directed evolution, artificial intelligence). Candidates whose research focus will complement and/or augment the current Department of Cancer Biology interests in cancer metabolism, cell signaling, gene regulation, hormone-dependent tumors, environmentally induced tumors, and tumor microenvironment will be prioritized.
The candidate(s) will join a robust research-focused department comprised of well-funded and highly collaborative faculty. Faculty labs are housed in the architecturally renowned Vontz Center for Molecular Studies, which is home to an interdisciplinary basic and clinical faculty from the Departments of Cancer Biology, Radiation Oncology, and the Division of Hematology/Oncology, as well as the Cancer and Cell Biology Graduate Program (https://med.uc.edu/education/cancer-biology-graduate/about-doctoral).
