QUALIFICATIONS: PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE COACHING IN THE SPORT AND SOLID LEADERSHIP SKILLS STRONGLY DESIRED. VALID FIRST AID/CPR CARD IS REQUIRED. NFHS COACH PREFERRED.

Salary: $2,607 - $3,555

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Athletic Director – Summer Term is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and supervision of summer athletic programs at [High School Name]. Primary duties include overseeing summer practices across multiple sports, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations, and coordinating athlete registration processes for the upcoming school year. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant athletic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily summer practices and workouts across all athletic programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for coaches, athletes, and parents during the summer period.
  • Monitor facility use and ensure safe practice environments.
  • Support compliance with all school district policies, state athletic association guidelines, and Title IX requirements.
  • Assist in organizing and managing athlete registration for fall and full-year sports, including:
  • Verifying required forms and physicals are submitted
  • Coordinating with the school nurse and registrar
  • Tracking eligibility documentation
  • Collaborate with coaches to ensure preseason needs are met (equipment, rosters, communication).
  • Help plan and execute any summer camps, clinics, or tryouts as needed.
  • Assist in communication efforts, including emails, newsletters, and updates to the athletic website or social media.
  • Report concerns, injuries, or disciplinary issues to the Athletic Director promptly.
