We are seeking a motivated Assistant Automotive Controller to join our Aurora-based powersports & marine division. This is an excellent opportunity for a dealership accounting professional with PBS system knowledge to advance their career in a growing, fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2+ years of automotive, powersports, or marine dealership accounting/finance experience (required).
  • Strong working knowledge of the PBS Dealer Management System (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of dealership operations in sales, service, and parts.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach.
Responsibilities

As the Assistant Automotive Controller, you will support the Controller and management team to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements for Serpa Motorsports.
  • Performing reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining schedules.
  • Supporting daily banking, deposits, and cash management.
  • Handling floorplan reconciliations, lien payouts, rebates, incentives, and vendor payments.
  • Coordinating with sales, service, and parts managers to ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits, OEM reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Preparing financial analysis and supporting management in decision-making.
