We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Baker to join our talented baking team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious baked goods, a strong work ethic, and a desire to contribute to the success of our bakery. As an Assistant Baker, you will work closely with our head bakers and other team members to ensure the production of high-quality and visually appealing baked products.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and baking of a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, muffins, pies, squares, donuts, and cookies.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, ensuring accurate measurements and consistency in product quality.
  • Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in the packaging and presentation of baked goods, ensuring they meet our standards for taste and visual appeal.
  • Maintain a clean and organized baking area, including regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces.
  • Monitor baking processes to ensure products are baked to perfection, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate production schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet daily baking quotas.
  • Follow established recipes and contribute ideas for new recipes or product improvements.
  • Assist in inventory management, including tracking ingredient levels and notifying supervisors of low stock.
  • Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene, following health regulations and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering customer inquiries and offering product recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a baking or culinary role is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient measurements, and recipe execution.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy ingredients, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
