Betty & Joan’s is London’s newest gay bar and home to The Queer Comedy Club, the UK’s first LGBTQ+ stand-up comedy venue. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Bar Manager who can train and lead a team of energetic and charismatic bar staff while providing great customer service in a fun and fast-paced environment.
Together you will help to create the friendly and vibrant LGBTQ+ environment we want Betty & Joan’s to become famous for, so friendly personality and a commitment to our vision is a must.
As Assistant Bar Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bar. You will be responsible for overseeing the bar staff, managing inventory and ordering supplies, creating and updating drink menus, and maintaining a clean and organised bar area. You will also be responsible for training new staff members and ensuring that all team members are following our company policies and procedures.
You must have previous experience working in a bar or restaurant setting, preferably in a supervisory or management role. You should have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. You must also be able to work well under pressure and at pace.
In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with our management team to develop new promotions and events, as well as helping to shape new menu items and drink specials. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and looking to take on a leadership role in a growing business.
