Are you an enthusiastic and customer-centric professional with a strong background in bar management? The Sheraton Athlone Hotel, part of the Hodson Bay Group, is seeking an experienced Assistant Bar Manager to be a vital part of our Food & Beverage team. We value excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a minimum of 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience in the industry.
As Assistant Bar Manager, you will report to the Food & Beverage Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Main S Bar and Function Bars. You will be responsible for leading and inspiring our dedicated team to consistently deliver exceptional service to our guests.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership qualities.
  • A passion for exceeding guest expectations.
  • Ability to provide training to new and existing associates.
  • Experience in cocktail making and training.
  • Skills in maximizing sales through upselling and exceptional customer service.
  • In-depth knowledge of beverages and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, with the capacity to perform under pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest care at all times.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality standards in the bar.
  • Manage the bar’s inventory and ensure it is well-stocked.
  • Adhere to strict opening and closing procedures.
  • Implement and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the bars and service areas.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve excellence.
  • Assist in rostering and break management.
